This qualification will enhance the scope and quality of performance for Caregivers, Child Care Professionals, Community Support Workers, and Youth Care Workers primarily in the NGOs, CBOs, the private sector and government departments. Child and youth care workers will work to improve the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of vulnerable children, youth and families in the above mentioned institutions. Child and youth care workers also provide safety and care for abandoned and orphaned refugee children and unaccompanied foreign minors.
